Job summary

The Kids Research Institute Australia is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the Epigenetics of Health and Disease team. You will coordinate research projects, budgets, reporting and compliance, ensuring smooth lab operations and stakeholder engagement.

Based at Perth, Nedlands, the role offers 0.6–1.0 FTE with flexible arrangements. The salary range is AUD 92,000–97,000 plus super, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biomedical Science or related discipline, with experience in a research environment.
• Demonstrated experience in project coordination, administration or research support.
• Knowledge of medical research and laboratory practices, with strong attention to detail.
• Experience supporting financial administration, compliance, ethics or governance processes.
• Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High level of digital literacy, including experience with collaboration and project management tools.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and contribute effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate research projects, timelines, milestones and reporting requirements.
• Support finance, purchasing, invoicing, budget tracking and compliance activities.
• Maintain team documentation, processes, laboratory records and knowledge resources.
• Coordinate laboratory operations, consumables, onboarding, meetings and stakeholder engagement.
• Support grant administration, ethics approvals, research activities and process improvements.
