Refocus on the Sunshine Coast is seeking a Family Participation Program Practitioner (Permanent Part Time, 4 days a week) to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. The role focuses on delivering culturally safe, family-centered services across the Health, Community, and NDIS sectors on the Sunshine Coast, with a salary range of 35–52 AUD per hour and a salary sacrificing option.

The position reports to the Team Leader, with duties including enabling child placement

Qualifications

• Qualification in Community/Social Services and/or three+ years relevant experience.

Responsabilités

• Implementing 5 elements of the Child Placement Principles.
• Preparing, engaging, and facilitating Family Lead Decision Making meetings.
• Knowledge of federal and state-based legislation including child protection legislation relevant to service delivery.
• Understanding of issues facing children and families with complex dynamics and needs.
• Negotiate, plan and coordinate placement for children.
• Facilitate conflict resolution between parents and department staff.
• Educate families regarding all system/programs that impact them and/or the foster child.
