Job summary

Act for Kids in Rockhampton seeks a Specialist Cultural Practitioner (Identified) for the Rockhampton Intensive Family Support team. The role can be part-time or full-time (0.5 FTE – 1.0 FTE) and focuses on delivering culturally safe, strengths-based support to families and communities.

You will lead collaborative case management, build trusted relationships with First Nations families, and embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledge into practice, while supporting reflective team

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in allied health, social work or human services or equivalent experience.
• Professional registration where required; association membership desirable.
• Experience with children and families, child protection knowledge and case management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of culturally safe, strengths-based case management to empower families.
• Build trusted relationships with families and co-design plans using cultural identity and lived experience.
• Embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledge in practice with First Nations families.
• Coach and guide team members, promoting reflective practice and culturally informed decisions.
