Job summary

Central Queensland Indigenous Development in Maryborough is seeking a Case Facilitator for Strong in Family & Culture family finding and reunification. You will locate and engage extended family and kin, develop plans, and support timely reunifications within a culturally safe framework.

The role requires knowledge of child protection principles, excellent communication with families and stakeholders, and the ability to work collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.

Qualifications

• Mandatory Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and First Aid/CPR required.
• Experience delivering services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people preferred.
• Knowledge of Child Protection Act 1999 is desirable.
• Ability to communicate effectively with families, children, stakeholders and colleagues in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Provide case facilitation for Strong in Family & Culture (SFC) in family finding and reunification.
• Research and engage additional family, kin and significant others in the child/young person’s life.
• Develop individualized family finding and reunification plans and implement them.
• Maintain accurate family finding records and report progress.
