Job summary

MatchWorks in Armadale, WA is seeking an Indigenous Employment Mentor to support people toward meaningful work. You will build relationships, assess strengths and goals, and provide practical guidance to connect clients with opportunities and services.

Training and support will be provided; an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Identified Position is noted. A driver’s license and reliable vehicle are highly regarded.

Qualifications

• NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate required.
• No prior Employment Services experience required.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Comfort with using computers and learning new systems.
• Ability to manage a busy workload.

Responsibilities

• Get to know the people you support and help them work towards employment.
• Build strong relationships and provide ongoing guidance and encouragement.
• Help people overcome challenges and connect with useful services, training and job opportunities.
