Job summary

Coonamble District Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Community Nursing team on a 17-week contract, commencing 12 October 2026. You will deliver nursing care in a community setting, supporting patients in their homes and local healthcare environment, with clinical autonomy.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Demonstrated experience in community nursing or primary healthcare settings.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills, with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritise care needs effectively.
• Reliable transport and willingness to travel within the local community.

Responsibilities

• Deliver community-based nursing care with direct patient contact and clinical autonomy.
