Job summary

Right at Home Gold Coast is seeking caring, reliable Support Workers for casual roles in the Burleigh area. You will provide personal care, companionship, and community access, ensuring safety and quality in clients' homes.

We offer flexible casual hours, a minimum 2-hour shift policy, paid travel time, and kilometre reimbursement (conditions apply). Ongoing training and guidance from experienced clinicians support your professional development.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care or health-related studies.
• Current First Aid & CPR.
• Driver's licence and reliable, insured vehicle.
• National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Full Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Personal support – assisting with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
• High-level personal care – mobility assistance, safe transfers, and falls-risk awareness.
• Community access – supporting clients to attend appointments, social activities, and community programs.
• Domestic assistance – cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a comfortable home environment.
• Companionship – offering emotional reassurance, conversation, and meaningful social connection.
• Mental-health informed support – recognising behavioural cues and responding with calm, supportive interaction.
• Care documentation – following individualised care plans and accurately recording services.
• Team collaboration – working closely with coordinators and clinical nurses to ensure safe, high-quality care.
