Job summary

Diamond Valley Special Developmental School, part of the Department of Education Victoria, is seeking a classroom teacher to deliver specialised instruction across two campuses. Successful candidates will demonstrate knowledge of curriculum, high-impact teaching strategies and the ability to use data to monitor student learning

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the relevant Australian curriculum and ability to teach literacy and numeracy.
• Experience planning and implementing high-impact teaching strategies.
• Experience using data to inform teaching practice and communicate progress to students and parents.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, parents and staff.
• Commitment to professional learning and reflective practice.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individual students.
• Contribute to curriculum development and school programs.
• Participate in policy development and school priorities.
• Supervise and mentor student teachers where applicable.
• Use student data to inform teaching approaches and communicate growth targets.
