Job summary

Joseph Banks Secondary College invites applications for a pool of Inclusive Learning Teachers to cover permanent and fixed-term, full-time and part-time vacancies arising during 2026 and into 2027. Appointments may occur at any time for positions commencing in this period.

The role focuses on supporting students on the autism spectrum and other learning needs, delivering differentiated instruction within the WA curriculum, and helping students access pathways to achievement and post-school

Qualifications

• TEACCH methodologies applied in classroom settings.
• Experience with CMS and PBS to support behaviour and learning.
• Collaborative work with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Display a commitment to inclusive education and high expectations for all students.
• Build strong, positive and respectful relationships with students, families and colleagues.
• Design engaging and differentiated learning programs that support individual growth and achievement.
• Utilise evidence-based practices to support students with diverse learning needs.
• Create safe, structured and supportive learning environments that foster student engagement, wellbeing and independence.
• Use student data effectively to monitor progress, inform teaching and celebrate success.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, education assistants, allied professionals and families to coordinate targeted support and individualised pathways.
• Contribute positively to a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.
