Sureway Employment and Training in Ryde NSW is seeking an Employment Consultant to support participants on their journey to work, building confidence and skills and connecting them with employers. You’ll work one-on-one, manage your caseload, and promote participants’ strengths for suitable roles.

You don’t need direct industry experience; curiosity, proactivity and a readiness to learn quickly are essential as you engage diverse communities and maintain compliant records while representing

Qualifications

• No direct industry experience required; curiosity, proactivity and willingness to learn quickly.
• Ability to engage people and build strong relationships within the community.
• Own caseload management and accurate record-keeping are essential.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with participants to set clear employment goals and action plans
• Actively build relationships with local employers to create job opportunities
• Promote participants’ strengths and match them to suitable roles
• Support participants before and after placement to ensure sustainable employment
• Identify barriers and coordinate support services or training where needed
• Manage your own caseload, priorities, and follow-ups to keep things moving
• Maintain accurate records and meet program compliance requirements
• Represent Sureway in the local community to build awareness and connections
