Job summary

DOSCEL is seeking an Inclusive Education (Learning Adjustment) Officer to support Catholic schools across the Diocese of Sale in strengthening inclusive practices and improving outcomes for students with disabilities. You will work with school leaders and teams to implement evidence-based adjustments and interventions.

Qualifications

• Experience in inclusive education practices within school settings.
• Strong knowledge of legislation and policies related to students with disabilities, including NCCD requirements.
• Ability to coach, mentor and deliver professional learning to school leaders and teachers.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Experience analyzing student needs and planning effective interventions.
• Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and diverse stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and evidence-based educational practice.

Responsibilities

• Support school leaders to develop inclusive cultures and learning environments.
• Build leadership capability to identify student needs and implement interventions using RTI framework.
• Assist schools in planning universal, targeted, and intensive adjustments for diverse learners.
• Ensure equitable access to curriculum, enrolment, participation and student services.
• Promote student voice and agency in learning and wellbeing planning.
• Provide expert advice on regulatory obligations including NCCD.
• Contribute to professional learning across the Diocese on inclusive education.
• Collaborate with teams to provide coordinated support to schools.
• Deliver intensive support to leadership teams for complex student needs.
• Prepare timely reports and contribute to system-wide improvement initiatives.
