Job summary

Gateways Support Services in Garvoc, Victoria, is seeking an Inclusion Support Additional Assistant to help Educators in children’s early education journeys. You will engage with energetic children, including those with disabilities, in a kindergarten setting.

Roles are permanent part-time (school term time), with shifts Tue 10am-2:30pm and Thu 10am-2:30pm (9 hours/week). Experience is valued; a relevant qualification is not required but beneficial.

Qualifications

• Enthusiasm, patience and a genuine interest in supporting children of all abilities.
• Ability to connect with young children through play-based learning.
• Requirement or willingness to obtain Working with Children Check and National Child Safety Training.
• Excellent communication skills and problem solving abilities.
• Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support educators by implementing behaviour management plans and individual strategies.
• Collaborate with the education team to model a positive approach.
• Create an inclusive, supportive environment for all children.
