Job summary

Uniting is seeking a KIS Engagement Officer in Morwell to coach and develop Additional Assistants across Gippsland. You'll apply your early childhood expertise to support kindergarten teams, fostering inclusive environments where children can participate, belong and thrive.

Working 0.5 FTE with hybrid flexibility, you will visit services on-site, provide phone and online support, and lead professional development sessions to build capability and connection across the region.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care or ACECQA-recognised qualification.
• Strong early childhood experience and ability to role model quality practice.
• Genuine passion for coaching, mentoring and helping others develop.
• Strong relationship building, communication and organisational skills.
• Current Victorian driver licence and capacity to drive to kindergarten services.
• Current National Child Safety Training and any applicable state-based Child Safety Training (or ability to obtain prior to commencement).

Responsibilities

• Coach and develop Additional Assistants across Gippsland to improve practice.
• Support kindergarten teams to create inclusive environments for children to participate and thrive.
• Balance on-site visits with phone, email and online support for ongoing development.
• Lead face-to-face sessions and professional development to build capability and connection across services.
