Job summary

St Patrick's Catholic Primary School, Lithgow, is inviting applicants for a Diverse Learning Teacher (Primary) to join our supportive team. The role focuses on coordinating identification and support for students with additional needs, developing personalised plans, and delivering inclusive, evidence-based instruction across K-6 in a Catholic education setting.

Qualifications

• Hold relevant tertiary teaching qualifications and current NESA registration.
• Demonstrated knowledge of inclusive education principles and disability legislation.
• Experience developing personalised plans and differentiated teaching strategies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the identification and support of students with additional needs and manage Personalised Plans and NCCD.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to implement adjustments and evidence-based interventions.
• Use assessment data and observations to identify learning needs and monitor progress.
• Coordinate referrals, specialist assessments and SWAN Funding applications with families and professionals.
• Develop Learning Support Officer timetables and align support with funded programs.
• Support RTI and MTSS with targeted literacy and numeracy instruction.
• Ensure safe transitions and maintain risk assessments as needed.
