Job summary

Wesfarmers’ Gladstone Trade Store is seeking a friendly Customer Care Consultant to provide outstanding face-to-face service. You will engage with customers, assist with product selection, and contribute to a well-organised, safe shop floor while supporting stock replenishment and team collaboration.

The role emphasizes practical product advice, a proactive attitude, and reliability in a fast-paced retail environment, with a strong focus on safety guidelines for stock handling.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail, trade, or customer-facing roles (ideally with exposure to merchandising and/or replenishment).
• Proactive and reliable personality with an emphasis on improving the workplace.
• Physically capable of handling stock safely (QLD workplace guidelines).

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face customer service as the primary focus of the role.
• Assist customers with product selection and provide practical advice on industrial products.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and organised shopfloor.
• Support stock replenishment, stocktakes, and merchandising activities.
• Safely handle and move stock (including items up to required weight limits).
• Identify and upscale customer or operational issues when needed.
• Work collaboratively to maintain a safe, efficient, and supportive team environment.
