Job summary

Montgomery Advisory represents one of Australia’s largest construction companies seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel focused on front-end construction to join their in-house team.

You will draft, review and negotiate contracts, advise on tender issues, and provide strategic legal guidance across projects while coordinating with senior management and clients. A Australian admission and 7+ years PAE are required.

Qualifications

• Admitted in Australia with at least 7 years' PAE in front-end construction.
• Commercial mindset, team player, good communication, collaborative, highly motivated and very organised.
• Expertise in construction, engineering and infrastructure contracts.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate and advise on a range of contracts.
• Tender review and post tender negotiation.
• Provide general legal advice in relation to emerging project issues.
• Dealing with external and internal stakeholders, including senior management, commercial managers and clients.
• Monitoring changes in the law to ensure compliance.
• Providing legal training internally to staff.
