Job summary

Montgomery Advisory invites a private-practice lawyer with 5-7 years in construction law to join its Sydney team as an in-house counsel. You will review and negotiate contracts, provide strategic advice to project teams and collaborate with external counsel under the General Counsel.

You will also deliver training to junior lawyers and help grow the capabilities of the legal function, contributing to cross‑practice commercial matters and ensuring timely risk assessment across projects.

Qualifications

• Between 5-7 years post-admission experience in construction law.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Precise oral and drafting skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities.
• Ability to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Review and negotiate contracts for construction and general commercial matters.
• Provide advice to project teams and liaise with external counsel.
