Job summary

Montgomery Advisory is seeking an experienced construction lawyer to join its in-house legal team in Sydney. The role offers exposure to a broad range of construction and commercial issues, with significant responsibility to review and negotiate contracts and advise project teams.

The successful candidate will typically have 5–7 years of post-admission experience in construction law, strong drafting and negotiation skills, and the ability to train and support more junior members of the team.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years post-admission experience in construction law.
• Ability to review and negotiate contracts on a variety of projects.
• Provide training and mentor junior team members.
• Collaborate with GC and external counsel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Review and negotiate contracts for construction and commercial matters.
• Advise project teams on commercial issues and risk allocation.
• Deliver training sessions and support junior lawyers.
• Engage with external counsel when required.
