Job summary

AnglicareSA in Adelaide is seeking a dedicated Placement Support Worker to join the Southern Foster Care team. You will support children, young people and Foster Carers, coordinating supports within a multidisciplinary framework.

You will apply cultural humility and trauma-informed practice to foster safe, healing environments. The role is full-time, 12-month fixed-term, based at Christies Beach with close collaboration to Child Protection services.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in social work or related field or relevant experience.
• Experience working with families, children and young people in a community services setting.
• Understanding of Child Protection and Out of Home Care systems and related legislation.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Join our Southern Foster Care team as a Placement Support Worker and support children, young people and Foster Carers.
• Work closely with AnglicareSA’s Child Protection and Out of Home Care programs, the Department for Child Protection, and other stakeholders.
• Use trauma-informed practice and cultural humility to create safe and culturally responsive environments for children to thrive.
• Hold a caseload and provide in-home support and guidance to children and their Foster Carers.
