Job summary

Anglicare Southern Queensland is seeking a dedicated Practitioner, Foster & Kinship Care, to recruit, train, assess and support carers for children in OOHC. This full-time role is based in Maroochydore, offering a starting hourly rate of $53.42 plus superannuation and salary packaging benefits.

You will build relationships with children and carers, assess placement needs, and deliver bespoke therapeutic interventions across developmental stages from infancy to 17 years.

Qualifications

• Degree in Health, Human Services, Behavioural Science, Social Work, Psychology or similar (essential).
• Blue Card, LCS, and Queensland Driver Licence current.
• Willingness to travel within the service region and work outside standard hours.

Responsibilities

• Forge impactful relationships with children and youth across ages; apply micro-therapeutic techniques.
• Evaluate strengths and risks in care placements; empower Foster/Kinship Carers with essential skills.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to craft and implement tailored therapeutic interventions for individuals and carers.
