Job summary

Anglicare Central Queensland Limited in Rockhampton is seeking a Placement Support Worker to back foster care placements. You will support carers, advocate for children’s care, and collaborate with safety services to ensure well-being and development.

The role is full-time and fixed-term, offering a salary of AU$92,575 p/a plus superannuation and salary sacrifice arrangements. Applicants must have a Certificate IV in Community Services (Child Protection) and relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV level or higher in Community Services (Child Protection) with significant experience in a similar field.
• Experience supporting foster care placements or similar settings.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage with carers to support children in all aspects of life, at home and in the wider community.
• Use observational and evaluation skills to contribute to assessments of children and carers' needs.
• Collaborate with Child Safety Services, community agencies and elders to maintain sound working relationships.
• Provide on-call services through a scheduled roster.
• Identify carer training and developmental needs to meet children’s needs.
