Job summary

Supporting Your Independence is seeking caring Support Workers to provide person-centered in-home and community support in NSW. You will assist with daily living activities, personal care, and promote social engagement while respecting dignity and independence.

Experience is desirable; training will be provided. A valid driver’s license, NDIS Worker Check, First Aid, and WWCC are expected. Sleepovers and varied shifts are part of rosters.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to providing the best support to others.
• Willingness to learn and complete relevant training.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with clients and families.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living tasks including personal care, meals, and housekeeping.
• Support clients with mobility and transfers when needed.
• Encourage social engagement and participation in community activities.
• Administer medications as prescribed and maintain accurate records.
• Monitor health and wellbeing and report changes to supervising staff.
• Provide emotional and social support to enhance quality of life.
