Job summary

Cross Continent Care is seeking a Disability Support Worker for in-home and community care in Riverstone, NSW. This contract role supports a female participant who speaks Farsi, Dari or Persian, with compassionate, culturally aware care. The position offers competitive hourly pay and professional development.

Role requires adherence to care plans, safe mobility assistance, and accurate documentation. A current police check and a valid driver’s license are essential, with 1+ year experience

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience in disability support or similar.
• Current police check and clear background for disability support work.
• Valid driver's license and own vehicle for community transport.
• Fluent in Farsi, Dari, or Persian is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home and community support to a female participant.
• Assist with personal care, bathing, dressing, grooming, continence management.
• Support medication prompting and administration according to care plans.
• Perform bowel care procedures safely with consent and clinical directions.
• Support catheter care and observation, reporting concerns to clinicians.
• Assist with wheelchair transfers, positioning and safe transport.
• Perform hoist transfers in line with manual handling guidelines.
• Plan meals, house tasks, shopping, and maintain a safe home environment.
