We Care Staffing Solutions is seeking a Personal Care Worker for home care in Katherine, NT. This casual role involves traveling to clients’ homes to provide personal and domestic support, including grooming, mobility assistance, and meal preparation.

You will work under care plans and My Aged Care funding, ensuring a respectful, client‑centred approach and reliable vehicle for travel between homes.

Formación

• Experience in aged or disability care.

Personal Care Worker - Home Care, Casual, Katherine

Job Title: Personal Care Worker
Location: Katherine, NT
Contract: Casual
Hourly Rate: $37.26 - $38.72 / hour + 25% casual loading

Your role as Personal Care Worker will see you travelling to people’s homes and providing care and support within the consumer’s home environment, undertaking cleaning, bed making, personal care including grooming, showering, mobility and assisting with meals. You may also be required to assist with social support, taking consumers to appointments and shopping.

Required Experience: Previous experience in either Aged or Disability care. Comfortable travelling to people’s homes to provide this care and able to retain a fully insured and reliable vehicle. Caring and understanding approach, while also able to understand a client’s care‑plan and delegated services provided by their My Aged Care funding. Enjoy travelling to people’s homes and providing a service with strong customer service attitude and respect.

Knowledge & Credentials:

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Care, Disability or Home and Community Care – with preference given to applicants who completed the ‘Assist Clients with Medication’ elective.
• Hold or willing to obtain a Food Handlers Certificate to the standard of 3.2.2A.
• Demonstrated experience in assisting with the activities of daily living in a community or Home Care setting.
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal and both verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage and work within a culturally diverse team environment.
• An ability to undertake a range of manual handling functions related to the role.
• Personal registered and fully comprehensive insured vehicle.

Compliance Requirements:

• National Police Check within the last 3 months.
• Provide evidence of current Influenza Vaccination.
• NDIS Workers Screening check received or lodged.
