Job summary

ARRCS is seeking a Personal Care Worker to join their Home Care team in Katherine, NT. The role is ad hoc casual, with shifts offered when available and no permanent roster.

Travel to clients’ homes to provide care, cleaning, mobility support and meal assistance is required. Ideal candidates have a Certificate III in Aged Care or related field, are willing to travel with a fully insured vehicle, and can work with a respectful, client-centred approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Care, Disability or Home and Community Care.
• Hold or willing to obtain a Food Handlers Certificate to standard 3.2.2A.
• Demonstrated experience in activities of daily living in a community or Home Care setting preferred.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to work within a culturally diverse team.
• Ability to undertake manual handling tasks.
• Personal registered and fully insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Travelling to clients' homes to provide personal care and support.
• Assist with daily living activities, cleaning, bed making and meals.
• Provide social support, transport to appointments and shopping as needed.
