Job summary

Linktal Recruitment is seeking a hands-on Import Operations Lead in Australia to own and drive the Imports team, leading a 5+ operator group from Condell Park. You’ll manage end-to-end shipments, coordinate with overseas partners, and ensure profitability across a growing Asia-focused trade lane.

This role offers visibility by working closely with the CEO, with potential to advance into a managerial position as you establish yourself within a family-like, globally operating logistics group.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of import operations (sea & air) experience in freight forwarding
• Experience in leading a team is an advantage but not required
• Mandarin skills to liaise with overseas agents & clients

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of 5+ import operators day to day
• Do P&L reporting and ensure job profitability
• Train the local & overseas back‑office team
• Manage end‑to‑end import shipments across air and sea freight
• Own a dedicated portfolio of clients as their key operational contact
• Coordinate with overseas agents, shipping lines, airlines, and service providers
• Prepare documentation for customs clearance and biosecurity requirements
