Job summary

Scope Australia is seeking a part-time Trusts and Foundations Officer to connect our life-changing work with trusts, foundations, philanthropic organisations and private ancillary funds across Victoria. You’ll identify opportunities, craft compelling funding proposals and grow a strong philanthropic pipeline.

You will collaborate with program leaders, funders and colleagues to translate impact into persuasive funding cases, support reporting and ensure strong relationships with funders.

Qualifications

• Experience in trusts and foundations fundraising, grant writing, philanthropy, fundraising or a related relationship management role.
• Exceptional written communication skills and the ability to develop persuasive funding proposals.
• Strong research and analytical capability.
• Demonstrated experience managing stakeholder relationships and partnerships.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot or similar.
• Knowledge of trusts, foundations, PAFs and philanthropic funding environments will be highly regarded.
• A commitment to Scope's purpose and values.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify trusts, foundations, philanthropic organisations and grant opportunities aligned with Scope's strategic priorities.
• Develop compelling grant applications, funding proposals and expressions of interest.
• Build and steward strong relationships with current and prospective funders.
• Coordinate high-quality impact reports, acquittals and funding agreement requirements.
• Maintain a healthy grants pipeline to support sustainable fundraising growth.
• Manage fundraising activity, reporting and stakeholder interactions through Scope's CRM systems.
• Work collaboratively with program teams to gather impact data, stories, outcomes and budget information.
• Contribute to achieving fundraising targets and strengthening Scope's philanthropy program.
