Job summary

Elecnor is seeking a Transmission Line Design Engineer (PLS-CADD) to join our Engineering team in Sydney, Australia. You will coordinate the design and delivery of transmission line works across projects, working with construction and external designers.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor degree in engineering and 3–7 years' overhead transmission line design experience, with strong PLS-CADD skills and familiarity with AS/NZS 7000 standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering.
• Approximately 3-7 years' experience in overhead transmission line design.
• Strong proficiency in PLS-CADD and experience with PLS-TOWER and/or PLS-POLE.
• Knowledge of AS/NZS 7000 and relevant Australian transmission line standards.

Responsibilities

• Development of electrical and structural documentation such as specifications, schematics, investigations, technical assessments, test procedures and engineering reports.
• Liaison with the construction team to develop construction methodology and provide construction input into the design process.
• Working closely with external Designers to ensure specification compliance and technical integrity of design.
• Review and interpretation of client specifications, Australian Standards and project-specific design criteria to ensure design Quality Assurance criteria is met.
• Support in planning meetings and alignment with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely delivery.
