Job summary

Elecnor is seeking a Transmission Line Design Engineer (PLS-CADD) to join its Australian engineering team and coordinate the design and delivery of transmission line works. You will develop electrical and structural documentation, liaise with construction, and work with external designers to ensure technical integrity and QA compliance.

Ideal candidates have 3–7 years’ overhead transmission line design experience, strong PLS-CADD skills, and knowledge of Australian standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering.
3–7 years’ overhead transmission line design experience.
Strong proficiency in PLS-CADD; experience with PLS-TOWER and/or PLS-POLE.
Knowledge of AS/NZS 7000 and Australian transmission line standards.
Experience across design and construction interfaces.
Construction White Card or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

Develop electrical and structural documentation: specifications, schematics, investigations, and reports.
Coordinate with construction on methodology and provide input to the design.
Collaborate with external designers to ensure compliance and integrity.
Review client specifications and standards to meet QA criteria.
Ensure safety compliance with site requirements.
Assist in material/equipment selection and supplier coordination.
Support value engineering and design optimisation for constructability and cost.
Participate in planning meetings and align with multidisciplinary teams.
