Job summary

Inner West Paediatrics Ltd seeks a compassionate Support Worker to assist children and young people in home, school and community settings. You will help develop independence, daily living skills, and social participation under the guidance of allied health clinicians.

Ideal candidates bring a person-centred, neuro-affirming approach, strong communication skills, and cultural awareness while collaborating with families and professionals in a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Community Services, Disability, Individual Support or related field.
• Currently studying an allied health degree or related field.
• Experience supporting children or people with disability.
• Commitment to inclusion, participation and capacity building.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualised support to children and young people across home, school and community.
• Assist with development of independence, daily living and life skills.
• Implement capacity-building and therapy support strategies under clinician guidance.
• Build confidence, social connection and community participation.
• Maintain accurate documentation and shift notes.
• Work collaboratively with families and a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide neuro-affirming, person-centred service delivery.
