NSW Department of Education seeks a School Psychologist for Coonabarabran High School. The role delivers counselling and psychological assessments, supporting teachers to improve student learning and wellbeing outcomes across primary and high school settings.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Aboriginal Education Policy and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategies.
• General or Provisional Psychology Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
• Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance – NSW.

Responsabilités

• Provides counselling and psychological services to students, individually and in groups.
• Administers cognitive, social, emotional and behavioural assessment of students and reports results.
• Works in consultation with the principal and staff to improve learning and wellbeing outcomes.
• Collaborates with parents, carers and other agencies to develop student support plans.
• Responds to schools experiencing serious incidents as part of a team.
• Supports diverse school communities and colleagues within a multidisciplinary team.
• Participates in continuing professional development and maintains registration.
