Job summary

NSW Department of Education in Finley NSW is seeking a School Psychologist to support student learning and wellbeing. You will provide counselling and psychological assessments to students across primary and high school settings, collaborating with teachers, families and outside agencies to tailor support.

The successful candidate will be based at Finley High School, with opportunities to work across the Riverina communities.

Qualifications

• Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (General or Provisional).
• Current WWCC clearance for NSW.
• Experience delivering counselling and psychological assessments in school settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide counselling services to students, individually and in groups.
• Administer cognitive, social, emotional and behavioural assessments.
• Collaborate with school staff, families and external agencies to support student wellbeing.
• Work with learning and support teams to develop school-based interventions.
• Respond to incidents as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Support ongoing professional development and supervision within the school counselling service.
