Job summary

Peoplefusion is partnering with a large government organisation to recruit an experienced Return to Work Coordinator. You will support employees through injury recovery and coordinate safe, sustainable return-to-work outcomes.

Based on the Central Coast and Newcastle region, the role offers flexible hybrid working arrangements and an opportunity to contribute to workplace wellbeing within a sizeable public sector workforce.

Qualifications

• Significant Return to Work, Workers Compensation or Injury Management experience
• Experience managing rehabilitation programs and injury cases
• Strong knowledge of Workers Compensation legislation
• Ability to interpret medical reports and assessments
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• A professional, organised and solutions-focused approach
• WorkCover accreditation as a rehabilitation coordinator
• Current NSW Class C driver's licence
• Registered Nurse qualifications and immunisation accreditation are desirable but not essential

Responsibilities

• Coordinating return-to-work and rehabilitation programs
• Managing workplace injury matters and supporting employees through recovery
• Liaising with managers, medical practitioners and rehabilitation providers
• Reviewing medical reports and assessments
• Providing advice on workers compensation and injury management
• Maintaining accurate case documentation and records
• Working autonomously within relevant legislation, policies and procedures
