Job summary

Southern NSW Local Health District is seeking a Research Governance Officer to support governance functions across the district, coordinating activities under the Manager Research Development. You will assist with reviews, governance advice, and compliance monitoring to promote high-quality, ethical research.

The role requires collaboration with researchers, clinicians, managers, universities and sponsors, with a focus on timely, accurate governance outcomes and strong communication across teams.

Qualifications

• Appropriate tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
• Experience in clinical trial, research ethics or governance.
• Ability to build productive relationships with researchers and stakeholders.
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Experience maintaining databases, records and reporting systems.
• Current unrestricted driver's licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and undertake research governance activities.
• Review and interpret research governance documentation and policies.
• Provide governance advice and recommendations.
• Monitor compliance to support ethical and well-governed research.
