Job summary

Northern Sydney Local Health District is seeking a Lead Research Quality, Safety and Governance professional to oversee safety and quality across research services within the district. The role drives assurance, risk management and quality improvement initiatives, partnering with research teams and clinical units.

You will guide regulatory and ethical compliance, support training in Good Clinical Research Practice, and coordinate governance activities through the Research Directorate at Kolling,

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in health or business and/or demonstrated relevant work experience.
• Extensive experience applying NSQHS Standards and accreditation processes, training staff in Good Clinical Research Practice.
• Experience in quality improvement methodologies and risk management for research activities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and ability to work with senior executives and clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety and quality functions with assurance on standards of research services across NSLHD.
• Facilitate and support Research teams, clinical trial units and lead quality initiatives; manage risk and measure improvements.
• Oversee incident review, complaint handling, risk management, policy development and guidance via SharePoint.
• Maintain Research Communication and provide guidance through SharePoint for the Directorate.
