Job summary

Department of Education Victoria – Echuca VIC is seeking a dedicated classroom teacher for Echuca Primary School to deliver the Victorian Curriculum and support student wellbeing. You will foster inclusive learning, plan and deliver literacy and numeracy, and engage with families and the local community.

The role covers planning, preparation and teaching of programmes to achieve learning outcomes, with opportunity for additional duties aligned to school priorities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Victorian curriculum with ability to teach literacy and numeracy.
• Experience planning high-impact teaching strategies and assessing student growth.
• Experience monitoring student learning and using data to inform practice.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to reflective practice and ongoing professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individual students.
• Develop and implement curricula and assess student progress.
• Undertake other duties aligned with salary range and school needs.
• Engage with parents, staff and the community.
• Provide supervision and mentoring of student teachers when required.
