Job summary

Sale Primary School, part of the Department of Education Victoria, seeks a classroom teacher to join its Gippsland team. The role focuses on delivering quality literacy and numeracy programs, using data to guide instruction and improve student outcomes.

You will work collaboratively with staff, families and the broader school community in a safe, inclusive environment. The successful candidate will be eligible for Victorian teacher registration, with postgraduate initial teacher education

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to teach literacy and numeracy.
• Experience planning using high‑impact teaching strategies and data to monitor growth.
• Ability to monitor learning and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with families and community.
• Commitment to professional learning and collaborative practice.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individuals to achieve student outcomes.
• Contribute to curriculum development and school priorities.
• Undertake related duties as directed by the principal and school policies.
• Engage in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Participate in data-informed planning and PLT activities.
