Job summary

Hays Recruitment is partnering with a Federal Government agency to recruit an APS3 Participant Support Officer. Roles across WA and NT offer $38.89 per hour plus super, with hybrid arrangements and a 12-month contract.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues.
• Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Understanding of NDIA and the disability sector.
• Knowledge of confidentiality, privacy and handling sensitive information.
• Ability to understand and support the participant journey.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality customer service and support to participants, families and stakeholders through a range of enquiries and interactions.
• Manage multiple tasks and workflows, including case management and administrative activities.
• Identify participant needs, investigate issues and contribute to practical solutions and positive outcomes.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with participants, colleagues and external stakeholders.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records, documentation and correspondence in line with policy and procedures.
• Support front-of-house operations, including responding to walk-in enquiries and directing participants to appropriate services.
• Work with people from diverse backgrounds, including people with disability and First Nations communities.
• Adapt to changing priorities and participant needs in a fast-paced environment.
• Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive team culture while maintaining a positive attitude towards people with disability.
