Job summary

Australian Christian College Casey in Cranbourne South (Melbourne area) seeks a Learning Support Assistant on a full-time basis. You will work with teachers and the Learning Support team to provide practical support to students needing additional help, contributing to their learning, confidence and wellbeing.

This role is highly relational and suits someone who enjoys working with children and young people, fostering inclusive, supportive learning experiences within a Christian school community.

Qualifications

• Right to work in Australia confirmed.
• Working with Children Check clearance in place or obtainable.
• Commitment to Christian ethos and church involvement.
• Ability to relate well to staff, students and parents.
• Demonstrated organisational and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small-group learning support under teachers.
• Assist students to access and participate in classroom activities.
• Support students with behavioural, social or emotional needs.
• Implement strategies identified by teachers and Learning Support.
• Assist with preparation and organisation of learning resources.
• Help students develop independence, confidence and engagement.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive classroom and school environment.
• Collaborate with the College team and maintain confidentiality.
