Job summary

Wonga Park Primary School in Victoria seeks Range 2 classroom teachers to contribute to improving student outcomes under the school’s strategic plan and state priorities. You will model exemplary practice, mentor colleagues, supervise student teachers, and use data to inform instruction to meet ambitious targets.

You will apply evidence-based teaching strategies, including Challenged Based Learning (CBL), and maximise student learning through technology in a collaborative school community.

Qualifications

• Provisional or full registration with VIT required.
• Evidence of postgraduate initial teacher education accreditation.
• Must meet LANTITE literacy and numeracy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individual students.
• Contribute to curriculum development, implementation and evaluation.
• Supervise and train student teachers.
• Assist staff to use student data to inform teaching approaches and meet targets.
