Job summary

Arts Northern Rivers in Lismore seeks a Planning and Delivery Engineer to lead civil infrastructure projects across Council’s Waste facilities. You will plan, design, coordinate and deliver complex programs, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and compliance with standards.

You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, contractors and the community to drive sustainable, safe outcomes and provide technical expertise across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management or similar.
• Postgraduate qualifications in Engineering desirable.
• Membership of an appropriate professional institute.
• Current Class C Drivers Licence.
• General Construction Induction Card (White card).
• Demonstrated experience in civil engineering, infrastructure planning and project delivery within a local government or similar environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and deliver civil infrastructure projects from concept development and feasibility through to construction, commissioning and project close out, ensuring on time, on budget and quality outcomes.
• Ensure all projects are delivered in accordance with Council Standards, relevant legislation, engineering codes, environmental requirements and organisational policies.
• Develop, manage and maintain project plans, schedules and delivery programs to ensure timely completion.
• Ensure compliance with Work health and Safety, environmental, legislative and funding requirements.
• Coordinate project meetings, approvals, governance requirements and reporting activities with clear updates.
