NSW Department of Communities and Justice seeks a Child Protection Caseworker for Armidale, Glen Innes, Inverell, Moree, Narrabri and Tamworth. The role focuses on safety, welfare and wellbeing of children, working with families and other agencies.

You will develop safety plans, complete risk assessments, manage high-need cases, and participate in court processes. A relevant degree in social work or welfare with practical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social work, social science or welfare with practical experience.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build positive working relationships.

Responsabilités

• Work sensitively with parents, family members and children or young people.
• Develop safety plans and complete risk assessments.
• Manage cases including high-need and high-risk clients and families.
• Be involved in court processes and attend court.
• Participate in supervision.
