Job summary

The Children’s Cancer Institute in Randwick seeks a Scientific Operations Project Officer to drive operational delivery and coordination of the ZERO Childhood Cancer Program across hospital sites. You will implement approved protocols, monitor sample coordination, and manage risks in collaboration with the Scientific Project Manager and Program Coordinator.

Based on-site at The Health Translation Hub, you will coordinate multi-site activities, develop monitoring systems, and support governance

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in a science, health or biomedical discipline; MSc or PhD desirable.
• Demonstrated experience in operational delivery or coordination of research or clinical projects, ideally across multiple sites.
• Experience implementing protocols, SOPs or workflows in hospital, laboratory or clinical research setting.
• Experience coordinating stakeholders across organisational boundaries, including hospital or clinical site personnel.
• Experience developing or maintaining tracking systems, registers or operational reporting.
• Working understanding of research governance, ethics and human material research requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary operational contact for participating hospitals.
• Lead operational implementation of approved protocols across sites.
• Coordinate sample acquisition activities.
• Develop and monitor tracking/operational systems for delivery.
• Manage operational risks and issues during project implementation.
• Collaborate with the Scientific Project Manager and Program Coordinator.
