Job summary

IMAX Melbourne, located at the Melbourne Museum precinct, is seeking enthusiastic team members for a casual Front of House position. You will deliver exceptional customer service from arrival through to the film experience and beyond.

Responsibilities include box office operations, candy bar service, ushering, and basic computer tasks. A strong emphasis on up-selling, teamwork, and maintaining a clean, welcoming venue is required.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service with clear and excellent communication.
• Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member and use initiative.
• Demonstrated ability to remain calm and work effectively in high-pressure situations.
• Flexible availability across weekdays, evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service with enthusiasm and professionalism at every stage of guest experience.
• Perform front-of-house duties including box office, candy bar service, and ushering.
• Perform basic computer tasks, including ticket sales, phone calls and cash register operation.
• Apply up-selling and suggestive selling techniques to enhance the customer experience.
• Maintain a clean and welcoming venue through regular cleaning of bathrooms, theatre and equipment.
• Contribute to a collaborative, supportive, and fun team environment.
• Remain calm under pressure and maintain productivity.
• Comply with Museums Victoria's policies and relevant legislation.
