Job summary

Sunnybank Private Hospital, part of the Healthscope network in Brisbane, seeks a Nurse Unit Manager to lead the ICU nursing team. You will provide leadership, education and clinical guidance to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient unit operations.

You will mentor staff, coordinate evidence-based nursing practices, and manage resources within budgetary constraints while maintaining excellent patient service standards.

Qualifications

• Current Registration with AHPRA and eligible to practice in Australia.
• Experience in leadership roles within ICU or critical care settings.
• Postgraduate qualifications in Leadership and Management are preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Commitment to developing in a management role with clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, direction and unit-specific education to the ICU team.
• Coordinate delivery of evidence-based nursing care and resources.
• Manage human, financial and material resources for the unit.
• Undertake direct patient care as required and support staff development.
