Job summary

Blacktown City Council is seeking a proactive Service Desk Officer to be the first point of ICT contact. You will respond to calls and emails, troubleshoot issues, and resolve incidents across Council sites and remote locations. You will set up laptops, support Windows 10/11 and AV setups, and maintain records with strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Resolve incidents and service requests and escalate when required.
• Explain technical information clearly and build relationships with staff.

Responsibilities

• Respond to calls and emails for ICT support across Council sites and remote locations.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve incidents and service requests.
• Escalate complex problems and track progress using Council's ITSM system.
• Set up and configure laptops, hardware and software for staff.
• Support Windows 10 and 11 environments and AV technology in meeting rooms.
• Maintain equipment records and keep documentation up to date.
