This position is well suited to a methodical and proactive professional with a strong background in ICT systems, auditing, and quality governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve quality assurance frameworks, policies, and procedures aligned with accredited internal and external industry standards.
  • Evaluate the functional performance, validity, and business value of ICT systems and environments, providing evidence-based recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to integrate quality assurance practices throughout the software and systems development lifecycle.
  • Communicate and liaise with end users, technical staff, and management to promote awareness of quality standards, procedural requirements, and compliance obligations.
  • Design and execute structured test plans, test cases, and testing strategies to validate system performance and identify defects prior to deployment.
  • Monitor ongoing processes and systems to proactively detect quality issues and ensure sustained adherence to regulatory and organisational requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of audit activities, test results, findings, and corrective actions for reporting and governance purposes.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and oversight to junior QA staff or ICT quality assurance team members where required.
  • Contribute to risk assessments and the development of quality improvement initiatives that support organisational objectives and ICT strategy.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in an ICT quality assurance, systems auditing, or related technical role within a complex organisational environment.
  • Proven ability to plan and conduct quality audits, analyse system and process data, and produce clear, actionable reports.
  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management principles and frameworks such as ISO 9001, ITIL, or equivalent standards.
  • Experience developing and maintaining QA documentation including test plans, test cases, procedures, and audit reports.
  • Proficiency with QA tools and technologies relevant to ICT environments, such as defect tracking, test management, or automation platforms.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant industry certifications such as ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board), CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), or ISO Lead Auditor.
