Job summary

Turium AI is seeking an ICT Business Analyst to join our Canberra team, working on AI, enterprise tech and digital transformation projects. Early-career professionals with Australian-educated backgrounds are encouraged to apply, bringing analytics experience and strong communication.

You will work across Turium's AI products, support solution design, deliver client-facing documentation, and collaborate with product managers, developers and consultants in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in IS, CS, or related; Australian study preferred.
• 1–5 years in BA, technology, data or enterprise systems.
• Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills.
• Able to translate business needs into technology requirements.
• Effective written and verbal communication; confident with stakeholders.
• Interest in AI, ERP and digital transformation; Agile exposure.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps is a plus.

About the Role

Turium AI is looking for an ICT Business Analyst to join our Canberra team and work across AI, enterprise technology and digital transformation projects.

This opportunity is suited to an early-career Business Analyst or technology professional who has recently completed tertiary study in Australia and brings previous professional experience in business analysis, software, technology, consulting, data or enterprise systems.

You may have started your career overseas before completing further study in Australia, or have transitioned into business analysis from a technical background. What matters most is that you bring strong analytical capability, professional experience and the ability to work confidently across business and technology teams.

You will work across Turium's AI products, including Turium Algoreus, Turium Enigma and Turium Zebra, supporting solutions delivered to government, councils and enterprise customers.

What You'll Be Doing

• Gather, analyse and document business and functional requirements.
• Map current-state and future-state business processes, workflows and system interactions.
• Work with stakeholders to understand business problems, pain points and technology requirements.
• Facilitate and support requirements workshops and stakeholder discussions.
• Translate business requirements into clear user stories, functional requirements and solution documentation.
• Work closely with product managers, developers, engineers and senior consultants to support solution design and delivery.
• Support UAT, test planning, test cases and requirements validation.
• Analyse data and business processes to identify opportunities for improvement, automation and digital transformation.
• Participate in Agile delivery activities including sprint planning, reviews, demonstrations and retrospectives.
• Prepare business cases, solution summaries, presentations and other client-facing documentation.
• Support project delivery across AI, ERP and enterprise technology environments.
• Develop exposure to enterprise platforms including SAP, TechnologyOne, Microsoft Dynamics and other corporate systems.
• Contribute to tender responses, proposals and customer presentations.

What We're Looking For

• A degree or postgraduate qualification in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Business, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Ideally 1–5 years of previous professional experience in business analysis, technology, software, consulting, data, project delivery or a related environment.
• Strong requirements gathering, analysis and documentation skills.
• Understanding of business processes and the ability to translate business needs into technology requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Confidence working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• An interest in AI, enterprise systems, ERP and digital transformation.
• Exposure to Agile delivery environments and tools such as Jira, Confluence or Azure DevOps would be highly regarded.
• Experience with SQL, Power BI, Python, data analysis or process modelling would be advantageous.
• Exposure to enterprise systems or large-scale technology environments would be highly regarded.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-moving, client-facing environment.
