Job summary

Atturra is seeking a driven Business Analyst to join our Cloud Business Solutions team in Canberra, delivering high-quality analysis for federal government and commercial clients.

You will gather, translate and document business requirements, facilitate workshops, and work with Agile teams to define solutions. Australian citizenship and Baseline Security Clearance will be required for government engagements.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years' experience as a Business Analyst in technology, digital transformation or enterprise application environments.
  • Experience gathering, analysing and documenting business requirements, including user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience participating in and facilitating requirements workshops, stakeholder interviews and discovery sessions.

  • Gather, analyse and document business requirements, translating customer needs into clear functional requirements.
  • Participate in and facilitate requirements workshops, stakeholder interviews and discovery sessions.
  • Build effective working relationships with clients, stakeholders and project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Analyse current-state business processes, identify opportunities for improvement and assist in defining future-state processes.
  • Work closely with technical and functional teams to ensure business requirements are understood and appropriately translated into solutions.
  • Apply knowledge of relational databases and data concepts when analysing requirements and supporting delivery.
  • Work within Agile/Scrum environments, contributing to backlog refinement and sprint planning.
  • Develop and maintain project artefacts, including requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria, maps and workshop documents.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including preparing test scenarios and assisting with issue resolution.
  • Identify requirements gaps, risks and dependencies and escalate as needed.
  • Manage BA activities and priorities across multiple project deliverables.

What you'll be doing

Atturra is seeking a driven and motivated Business Analyst to join our Cloud Business Solutions team and deliver high-quality Business Analysis services to our clients.

Experience working on Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM / Customer Engagement (CE) projects will be highly regarded.

Atturra is seeking candidates who have a passion for innovative technology and driving customer transformation. This person must be able to communicate with a variety of different audiences and must have strong presentation skills. The ability to lead technical groups along with handling critical customer issues is important for this role.

You will be tasked with assist in evaluating end-user business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and developing and implementing the appropriate technical solutions.

This role is based in Canberra and offers a hybrid working arrangement, with a combination of working from the Atturra office and client sites as required.

Candidates must hold a minimum of Australian Citizenship and have the ability to obtain an AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance, as required to support current and future Federal Government projects.

  • Develop and maintain project artefacts, including business and functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps and workshop documentation.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including preparing test scenarios, validating requirements and assisting with the resolution of identified issues.
  • Identify requirements gaps, risks, dependencies and potential impacts, escalating and working with relevant stakeholders to resolve them.
  • Manage assigned Business Analysis activities and priorities across multiple project deliverables.
  • Contribute to team knowledge sharing, Business Analysis practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain and develop professional and technical capability through ongoing training and continuous learning.

Technical Requirements
  • 3-5 years' experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within technology, digital transformation or enterprise application environments.
  • Experience gathering, analysing and documenting business requirements, including functional requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience participating in and facilitating requirements workshops, stakeholder interviews and discovery sessions.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams and delivery partners.
  • Experience working across the project delivery lifecycle, from discovery and requirements gathering through to implementation and go-live.
  • Good understanding of business process analysis and improvement, including current-state and future-state process mapping.
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments, collaborating with Product Owners, Project Managers, Developers, Architects and Test teams.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM / Customer Engagement (CE) projects will be highly regarded.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong facilitation, problem-solving and analytical skills, with the confidence to contribute to workshops and stakeholder discussions.
  • Ability to manage assigned priorities and Business Analysis deliverables within a fast-paced project environment.
  • Adaptable and comfortable working with changing requirements, priorities and customer needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with a collaborative and team-focused approach.
