Job summary

Hype DC is Accent Group's premium sneaker retailer, inviting an experienced Senior Store Manager to lead the Marion flagship in Adelaide. This role requires steering a high-volume operation, driving sales, and shaping a top-tier customer journey in-store.

You will recruit, coach and develop leaders, manage rosters and budgets, and ensure optimal stock, merchandising and omnichannel experiences while upholding an inclusive, high-performance culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in retail leadership at premium/high-volume stores.
• Proven ability to drive sales, KPIs and profitability.
• Experience leading large teams and building leaders.
• Strong commercial acumen and data-driven decision making.

We’re on the lookout for an exceptional Senior Store Manager to lead our Hype DC flagship store at Marion, Adelaide.

This is an exciting opportunity for an established retail leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and knows what it takes to build high-performing teams, drive commercial success and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

What you’ll do

• Lead a flagship business: Drive sales, KPIs and profitability across a high-volume retail operation, identifying opportunities to maximise performance and deliver outstanding commercial results.
• Build a high-performance culture: Create a people-first environment where accountability, collaboration and a passion for results are at the heart of everything you do.
• Lead from the front: Be present and hands-on on the shop floor, setting the standard for premium customer service and delivering memorable customer experiences.
• Develop future leaders: Coach, mentor and empower your leadership team and store team, building capability, confidence and a strong internal talent pipeline.
• Own the talent strategy: Lead recruitment, onboarding, succession planning and ongoing development to ensure your team is equipped to succeed.
• Bring the brand to life: Champion Hype DC’s identity through best-in-class visual merchandising, product presentation and a genuine connection to sneaker culture.
• Drive operational excellence: Effectively manage rosters, labour budgets, stock and store operations while maintaining strong compliance and operational standards.
• Deliver an omnichannel experience: Create a seamless customer journey across every touchpoint, connecting customers with the brand both in-store and online.
• Champion an inclusive environment: Foster a fun, collaborative and safe workplace where individuality is celebrated and every team member has the opportunity to thrive.

What we’re looking for

• 3–5+ years of retail leadership experience, ideally within premium, high-volume or fast-paced retail environments.
• A proven track record of driving sales, KPIs and commercial performance.
• Experience leading large teams and developing leaders within a high-volume retail business.
• Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to analyse business performance, identify opportunities and turn insights into action.
• Exceptional leadership, coaching and communication skills.
• Confidence managing labour budgets, rostering, operational costs and store compliance.
• A genuine passion for sneakers, streetwear, fashion and premium customer experiences.
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and a strong “Make It Happen” attitude.
• A commitment to continuous improvement and developing yourself and those around you.
